At Hogans, our business and staff have been recognised for numerous awards, from being inducted into the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce Business of Excellence Awards Hall of Fame to many of our apprentice jewellers taking out accolades at the annual TAFE Queensland Apprentice Jeweller of the Year Awards. The awards received by our talented artisans are a testament to their high level of quality workmanship and it reflects when delivered to our clients. We are so honoured to list just a few of these here.

Keelie Sander takes out TAFE Queensland's 2023 Apprentice Jeweller of the Year Award

Our very own designer and final year apprentice jeweller, Keelie, took out not one but four awards at the 2023 TAFE Jewellery Apprentice Awards hosted in Brisbane on Friday, 17 November.

Taking out Best Overall Design, Best Technical Aspects, Best Folio Design and Apprentice Jeweller of the Year, the awards also landed Hogans the Employer of the Year award.

HOGANS NEW SHOWROOM & WORKSHOP PROJECT TAKES CATEGORY WIN AT QUEENSLAND MASTER BUILDERS AWARDS 2023

Under the Project Management of Newlands Group, our cutting-edge showroom & workshop secured the best Commercial Fit-out up to $5 Million award at the Master Builders Queensland 2023 Housing & Construction Awards in October 2023. Serving as finalists in the National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards, our showroom and workshop stood in competition with some of the most remarkable constructions witnessed in our nation for this category.

Toowoomba business excellence retail business of the year award

In 2023, Hogans took out Retailer of the Year for the third consecutive year at the Business Excellence Awards hosted in Toowoomba.

The past 12 months has seen our business exceed its initial potential with the launch of the new showroom and workshop, as well as a new online store. These changes have allowed us to completely transform the Hogans experience for our supportive and loyal clientele and we look forward to what the future holds for the ever-evolving Hogans.

TOOWOOMBA BUSINESS EXCELLENCE AWARDS: RETAIL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR & HALL OF FAME

As a longstanding business of the Toowoomba community, Hogans has been recognised as a leader in the Retail sector and inducted into the Toowoomba Chamber's Hall of Fame.

Since 1945, we have been offering our services and expertise and it was in 2022 that we were inducted into the Toowoomba Chamber's Hall of Fame amongst a number of leading businesses.

Along with this honour, we were also awarded winners of the Retail Category in 2021 and 2022.

CO-CREATION: KING OF THE MOUNTAIN TROPHY

Hogans were honoured to work alongside Gold Coast's own, Potato Press to create this unique trophy for Queensland's richest provincial horse race.

In 2022, we were approached by the team behind the Mort & Co King of the Mountain horse race with the task of collaborating with Potato Press, to design and craft the trophy for this prestigious event.

King of the Mountain’s thoroughbred silhouette and crown was crafted in 18k yellow and white gold with a number of high quality, brilliant cut white diamonds adorning the precious metal. The trophy was a true showcase of our talented team’s ability to design and create such a unique piece.

KEELIE SANDER TAKES OUT RISING STAR AWARD

Hogans very own third year apprentice took out the Rising Star award at the 2022 TAFE Queensland Apprentice Jeweller of the Year Awards with her custom designed and crafted armillary sphere, titled The Alchemist Armillary.

HOGANS HOST EXCLUSIVE ARGYLE PINK DIAMOND EVENT

Following the announcement of the Argyle pink diamond mine closure, Hogans hosted an exclusive event where attendees had the opportunity to view and purchase these highly sought after, rare Australian diamonds.

In 2020, Rio Tinto announced the closure of its Argyle pink diamond mine located in the Kimberley region, Western Australia. The event aimed to drive awareness and educate customers about these rare beauties.

On display were a number of uniquely crafted jewellery pieces featuring Argyle pink diamonds, as well as loose stones for customers to view and purchase.

2021 TAFE QUEENSLAND JEWELLERY APPRENTICE OF THE YEAR AWARD

Our very own, Paul Armstrong, takes out the 2021 TAFE Queensland's Jewellery Apprentice of the Year award.

Each year, the Apprentice Jeweller of the Year Awards take place to celebrate and recognise the creativity of Certificate III in Jewellery Manufacturing (MEM3605) graduates through an awards program that forms their final assessment.

We are excited to announce that our very own fourth year apprentice, Paul Armstrong, has taken out a shared first place in the 2021 TAFE Queensland Jewellery Apprentice of the Year awards with his pair of sunglasses that feature interchangeable lenses, gold inlays and gems set in one arm. He also crafted matching cufflinks and a signet ring, both featuring gold inlays and diamonds.
